"Sulfacrylate" in Endoscopy and Laparoscopy

In the endoscopic surgery, the medical glue "Sulfacrylate" is used to achieve hemostasis, good tissue sealing and a sutured defect. And this allows to obtain good results of treatment.

So, in endoscopy, "Sulfacrylate" can be used in the following cases:

• Closure of bronchopleural fistula;
• Traumatic injuries of parenchymal organs;
• Auxiliary strengthening of the stump of the appendix in appendectomy;
• Subcapsular hematomas;
• Capillary hemostasis from the bed of the gallbladder with cholecystectomy;
• Sealing of the vaginal process of the peritoneum in communicating edema of the testicles;
• Adhesive mesh for hernioplasty.

  When performing endoscopic operations, it is worthwhile to avoid the contact of the catheter through which "Slapacrylate" is introduced, with fluid in the abdominal or pleural cavity, since the adhesive rapidly polymerizes at this contact.

  In such situations, you should remove the free liquid with an aquapuator. The glue, at the same time, is brought to the operating site by a dosed syringe through a dry catheter already at the final stage of the intervention.
